Access scaffold rising up a tall residential block

Access towers & working platforms

When you need safe access at height but a full-perimeter scaffold is more than the job calls for, a scaffold tower or bespoke working platform is often the answer. We design and build them around the site, the trades and the work.

What we build

  • Scaffold towers for work on one area of a building, such as a gable, a stairwell, a sign or a single bay
  • Access scaffolding with ladder access between lifts for multi-storey work
  • Bespoke working platforms for plant rooms, atriums, lift shafts and awkward spots
  • Loading bays so materials can be lifted onto the scaffold safely

Built around the job

Every installation is tailored to your site. We look at the load the platform needs to carry, how many trades will use it, the ground or floor it stands on, and how people get on and off. On a recent project we built multi-level scaffolding with platform lifts for a property management company, so painters and render specialists had safe access to every elevation.

Safe, compliant access

All towers and platforms are erected by CISRS-qualified scaffolders, built to NASC TG20:21, fitted with guardrails and toe boards, and inspected before handover and every 7 days after. See Safety First.

For larger jobs, see commercial scaffolding or ongoing contractor partnerships.

Questions about access towers and working platforms

Is a scaffold tower cheaper than full scaffolding?

For work on one area of a building, usually yes, because it uses less equipment and less time to erect. We'll recommend the most cost-effective safe option at the survey.

Can you build a platform inside a building?

Yes. Internal platforms are common for atriums, stairwells, high ceilings and loft conversions.

Do your towers come with a handover certificate?

Yes. Every scaffold is inspected and handed over before use, and inspected again every 7 days while it's up.
